Building 993 Fire Alarm/Service Change All Projects

This project at the Naval Hospital at NAS Whidbey Island required the replacement of the entire fire alarm system and the main electrical service to the building. The facility was required to be fully functioning while the work was taking place. BME built a new fire alarm system next to the old system and then demolished the old system. The service change presented numerous challenges. BME utilized multiple techniques to complete outages while minimizing down-time. Backup generators and night-time work hours were mainstays of the project from start to finish.
